Caustic Soda - Multi-Use Sodium Hydroxide
Tronox Alkali manufactures caustic soda, the common name for sodium hydroxide (NaOH). Our caustic soda is considered chemical grade and is produced by reacting soda ash with lime. It is available in bulk quantities as a 50 percent liquid solution.
Caustic soda is used as the primary strong base in the chemical industry. Applications include cleaning, detergent production, water treatment, oil drilling, fuel processing, pulp and paper manufacturing, biodiesel production, food preparation, and more.
Our sodium hydroxide meets all requirements of the American Water Works Standard ANSI/AWWA B501-03. It has also been tested and certified by the National Sanitation Foundation for use in pH adjustment. It is a non-food grade product containing no allergens, sensitizing agents, sulfites or monosodium glutamate. It is an inorganic solution with no caloric value, vitamins, fats, carbohydrates or proteins.
